We all know we should eat healthier food, but it’s so much easier to just carry on the way we always have. Besides, does it really even make that much difference? It’s easy to move through life with this mind-set, especially when you don’t have any serious or life threatening health issues demanding immediate change.
There are so many benefits that come with eating healthier food. We literally are what we eat! Our eyes, hair, skin and nails all need essential building blocks that refined food does not provide. Our bodies are host to trillions of microorganisms that feed off every morsel of food we put into our mouths, and it is in our very best interest to keep them fed and happy and in good balance.
Apart from this, eating well drastically reduces your chances of developing certain types of cancers, heart disease, diabetes as well as many other chronic conditions.
Our minds function best when they receive a steady stream of all the essential vitamins, minerals and other nutrients we get from food.
In short, our lives become happier and richer.
I could carry on listing the benefits of a whole food diet, but I know that information alone is not enough to change a persons’ behaviour, but it DOESN’T have to be difficult and it IS possible for each and every one of us.
