Its time to switch up the status quo

Many of us are stuck in long term habits of eating less than healthy food. We eat too much sugar, refined carbs and not enough vegetables.

Our bodies get used to a regular intake of these types of foods, and so in the initial stages of healthier diet changes we may notice a lot of cravings for the old foods. We have started to change our body chemistry and it is not yet used to this new way of eating. It is still expecting the daily intake of cake, biscuits, alcohol, caffeine etc. and so it sends out signals like sugar cravings, headaches or energy slumps in order to get back into “balance”.

Managing these cravings takes some work but it is possible. Over time through commitment to healthy eating plans, we start to change the status quo. Our baseline level of health improves and you start to learn what it feels like to exist in a healthy body. You feel cleaner and leaner with better energy levels and improved mood.

At this point, your cravings are likely to change. You will quickly start to notice how bad you feel after a day of fast food and junk, then long for the sweet embrace of a healthy home cooked meal with some broccoli.

I personally started to enjoy eating vegetables more after a sustained period of eating well, which is quite an achievement for me. Your food preferences can also change over time too as you train your body to eat this way. Let me help you get there.
