I don’t offer quick fixes as I don’t believe there are any. I know that sustainable change happens gradually and that’s why my programs are as long as they are. But that’s not to say you won’t start to feel better and notice improvements quite quickly!

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most common questions I get from potential clients that might also be on your mind.

What if I don't like the food suggested in the program?

I try and work with clients individual food preferences to come up with suggestions that will work for them. I am by no means trying to force feed people broccoli and kale if they despise it.

A key thing to bear in mind here is that our likes and dislikes can change or be trained. Its quite possible that over time you will eventually come to like the taste of certain vegetables that you might have once turned away.

I see food as something to be enjoyed. My goal is to make meal times a nourishing and pleasurable experience.

Will I lose weight on the program?

It is very possible that you will lose weight on this program if you were previously getting by on a diet rich in sugar, refined carbohydrates and unhealthy fats. Any weight loss would be through gradual healthy changes and not restrictive eating or deprivation.

Will I have to cut out all junk food or "bad food" straight away and forever?

Having been in this situation myself, I know just how hard it can be to go cold turkey on your favourite comfort foods. So, I suggest cutting down on these food and drinks gradually. I will also try and suggest healthier alternatives and other ways of managing cravings to make this process more comfortable. 

Ideally we aim to keep these foods to a minimum during the course. This is to give your taste buds, gut bacteria and body a chance to reset its status quo. It might currently be used to getting a steady influx of these foods and notices when it doesn’t get them. So our goal is to interrupt this process and change the status quo so that our new normal is one of regularly receiving nourishing wholesome food. 

Going forward we would try and adopt a healthy, balanced and realistic relationship with treats and comfort foods, which means you’ll still be able to enjoy your favourite treats.
